Beer & Wine Election in Frost

The Frost Focus has launched Frost Forward PAC to put "the legal sale of beer and wine" on the May 14, 2010 ballot. There are a few steps to take before the election can be ordered by the commissioners court. Those steps are:

  • A legal notice must be published in either the Corsicana Daily Sun or the Navarro County Times;
  • A publisher's affidavit must be filled out, notarized and submitted to the county's elections administrator;
  • A 10-signature application petition must be filled out by 10 registered Frost voters to get the beer/wine petition;
  • We have 60 days to obtain 28 signatures. That's right, 28 signatures from city voters will put this issue on the ballot.
  • What Frost Forward PAC is asking voters to decide is "the legal sale of beer and wine" in the city limits.

Before anything begins, we need interested citizens, donors, fundraisers to get the legal notice paid for in the newspaper. As soon as that legal notice is published, we can then move forward on everything else. To help us reach this goal, please contact us at publisher@frostfocus.com or 972-891-2135.
